Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Capvera, Inc. (“Capvera,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites and Service. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign in through Google or Microsoft, we receive basic profile information from that provider, such as your name, email address, and profile identifier. We do not receive or store your password for those providers.
Payment information. When you purchase a report or subscription, our payment processor, Stripe, collects and processes your payment details. We do not store full payment card numbers. We receive limited information from Stripe such as confirmation of payment and the last four digits or card type.
Inputs you provide. This includes the storefront URLs you submit for analysis and any information you send us in communications.
Usage and device information. We may collect information about how you use the Service, such as pages viewed, reports generated, timestamps, IP address, browser, and device type, including through cookies and similar technologies.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to: provide, operate, and improve the Service; generate and deliver reports; process payments and manage subscriptions; authenticate you and secure your account; communicate with you about your account, purchases, and support; comply with legal obligations; and detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with:
- Service providers who process information on our behalf, including Stripe (payments), our cloud hosting and database provider, Google and Microsoft (authentication), data and analytics providers, and email or support tools. These providers may use information only to perform services for us.
- Legal and safety recipients where required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Capvera, our users, or others.
- Business transfers, such as in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred subject to this Policy.
4. Data About Analyzed Businesses
Our reports analyze businesses using publicly available and third-party data. Where that data incidentally includes information about individuals (for example, a business owner whose information is public), we process it only to provide the Service. We do not control the underlying public and third-party sources. If you are associated with an analyzed business and have a question about data in a report, contact customer_support@capvera.co.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and use the Service. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, the site or source you came from, and general location, browser, and device information, and processes it on our behalf. You can opt out of Google Analytics across websites by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by controlling cookies through your browser settings.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We retain generated reports associated with your account so you can access them, unless you ask us to delete them or close your account.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact customer_support@capvera.co.
Users in the EU/UK (GDPR), if applicable. Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases for processing include performance of our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, and compliance with legal obligations. You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact customer_support@capvera.co. We will verify and respond as required by law.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
10. International Users
We operate in the United States and process information there. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your location.
